| The following statments are my opinion based upon experinces reported in Carrollon, Georgia. I have not seen my children for almost a year now. They were to be 'protected', as was our relationship, by an order from the 11th circuit Superior Court. The court most recently(11/5/1999) has declined to protect the children and/or our visitation. I had filed a case myself, under the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction Act, because no local attorney could be found to protect my children. The court went against the Georiga Supreme court and neglected my children's health, safety, and welfare. I have been told by many men here that "Fathers do not have any rights here." My children and I were very close. The harm done to my children alone is unspeakable. The local 'Superior' court acts upon thousands of children each year. If "the children are the future, Their is no future here." | |||||||||||||||||

Our family has spent over $10,000 and, I am told that for another $8500 or so I might get the order enforced. When Carrollton City hall noticed that one renovation house was in 'limbo' due to a strung out property settlement, they attacked like sharks. The day I recieved good title, the city filed a case against me and the children. They forced us to sell the house to the city's own Housing Authority thousands of dollars below market. This is definitely a 'Old Boy' town. The custom here is to take the children from the father and enslave even disabled fathers, as myself, to child support with no visitation. They have opened a new branch of government just for child support-I'm not kidding. Locally a 'Georgia husband' is just another way to say 'wife beater and child abuser.' Divorce is big Business in Carrollton. Between Divorce and profiteering from their "drug war," the jail is overflowing and the attorneys typically charge $150 - $200 /hr and up with $2,000 to $3,500 retainers common. Minors are often prosecuted as adults in Georgia. Carrollton is no small town. The cops seem to be trained in some, Anti-Terrorist military school. The local 'Drug task force' is constantly advertising the 'confiscation' of cars, cash, cell phones, anything and everything of value they can lay their hands on. We have one cop niknamed 'ROBOCOP' due to the large amount of guns, ammo, and military gear kept in his car trunk. He is waiting to use it. Think more than twice before sending your kids to college here! Through non-enforcement of the 'Superior Court' order my children were secretly taken across county and contact with them was severly restricted. Now there is none- no phone, no mail, no known address... When I told Judge S****** that if the jurisdiction was dismissed here the children would essentially be abandoned, he said, "well thats enough - we have another case..." I am a disabled man, a canidate for surgery with no employment - the 'court' seems to think it would be convinient if the jurisdiction could be 'dumped' somewhere else. Later that week, I was informed that the mother had moved. Attorney Jennifer M****** would not say if the children were abandoned or not. Their location is unknown. These children have NO jurisdiction. Carroll County has knowingly 'dumped' them and no forwarding jurisdiction is available yet (11/23/1999). While the children wanted joint custody, no local attorney could tell me what they did the last time for joint custody. It seems to be their local secret - no compassion for children, just a 'cookie cutter' method of dealing with divorce. The attorneys play the game for the fees. I don't know any children of divorce here with a two parent relationship. I can still hear them screaming - my wife had started arguing - she dialed 911 - I gave them directions - when I went to meet them in the driveway with pen and paper in hand - I was told to "Drop the Weapons" as the Carrollton police trained a weapon on me - seconds later the another police car arrived and because, I was afraid to take my hands down (these guys were crazy!) they pepper sprayed me in front of my children. I was sunburnt for spending the day with the children at a local water park. I had no shirt - I had been trying to sleep when I was awoken with a yelling wife. I can still hear my children screaming..... This is not a place to 'fight city hall.' Many of the local police have gone to 40 caliber pistols (anti-aircraft is 50 caliber), radio dispatched with SWAP teams and, yes, an AMRORED PERSONNEL CARRIER - they still claim to be 'out gunned' by the drug dealers. I think that quaifies for losing the 'Small Town Atmosphere.' No family is safe and business is constantly disrupted by the damage done to employee's (or management's) families. The local 'SPLOST' tax (an additional Carroll county sales tax) means that you, your families and, your employees will pay more for any materials, supplies, food and, rent needed and,your product will be additionally taxed when sold. Not very competitive. This is a BIG GOVERNMENT, highly SOCIALIST area but enough on it's strong points. The police enforce a 'family violence act.' If the police are called to your house due to an arguement, one person will go to jail-even if they have to commit violence against your family. They sprayed me with so much pepper spray, after disarming me of the pen and paper, I PASSED OUT then, he I woke up screaming. He was sure someone had poured gas on him and set him on fire....standard proceedure here. Please consider carefully before exposing yourself, your wife, your children to these 'police state thugs.' Criminals deserve better. He knew then that although I had been with my wife for 13 years (originally from California) that she was 'not real smart, but in this atmosphere, actually dangerous. To call the police to help with a verbal argument was almost deadly and, he knew the mental, emotional assault commited against his children was something out of Nazi Germany. Of course they local DA had to 'prosocute him' to protect the police from proper legal action against them. His jury, after a two day trial, took less than ten minuets to rule him 'not guilty.' His mother cried. His father was pleased. His children were so happy. I hear they cheered. His wife cried for hours so, the children told me. If he had been convicted and sentenced (yes, this 'arguement' carries up to one year in jail here, with an additional court ordered child support, she might have taken control of 4 rental houses (obtained to support me due to degeneritive disk disease). Still no local attorney I could find would consider actions against a city they practice in. Outside attorneys are not welcome. Minorities are not welcome, except in jail....Good old boys are welcome. If anyone thinks they can help this man or his children, PLEASE EMAIL ME!!"[email protected]" When the courts told him (11/5/1999) they would not honor the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction act...Please, what can be done?! | |||||||||||||||||

I have searched for you for several months now but, I don't know where you are. I havn't talked to you since 7/25/1999 - the lastest phone number is a voice mail no one answers. I doubt if you get the messages. All your mail is returned. The last time I saw you was 1/1/1999 and, from the looks of it that will be the last time- Georgia is truly not interested in helping children.
